Flying today

Well it's finally arrived - PJ and I fly to Bethel today. Caroline and I stayed over in a friends flat in London last night so that we could have a day and an evening together to celebrate our annversary and also get a little peace before she dives in for a week with the kids. We've had a great time reflecting back on 9 years of marriage and looking forward to more to come. I can still remember getting into the car to drive away from the reception - it seems like only a short time ago! Plus we got to visit Coast and the Apple Store in Regent Street - what a treat!

People keep asking me what I'm expecting from Bethel - lots of things!! I'm desperate to encounter God to a deeper level - to break down a few more barriers to intimacy with him and receive more of his power for ministry. Some people encounter God once and then they seem to be satisfied. For me - I'm just hungry for more and more! So that's my main desire - but also I really want to learn how they have equipped a local church to see more miracles on the streets than in the church meetings. This to me is what the church in Acts must have been like. Bethel is the first church that I've ever heard of that does it in our day and I want to catch hold of it and bring it back to the UK....
